How It’s Different

Underwater coverage on the same call sheet.

Traditional underwater cinematography means chartering a separate boat, a separate crew, and a separate schedule. On the Basilisk it’s a configuration change: submersibles and diver comms deploy from the same hull, on the same day, colored by the same DIT.

FAQ

Underwater questions

What underwater tools does the Basilisk carry?+

Depending on the shoot, the Basilisk deploys RC submersibles for cinematography, wireless diver communications, and multi-camera underwater rigs. All feeds return topside to the on-board Dark Room for live monitoring and grading.

Do you supply certified underwater cinematographers?+

Yes. We coordinate with certified underwater DPs, safety divers, and dive supervisors, and integrate client-supplied underwater crews into the Basilisk's comms and video systems on request.

Can surface, aerial, and underwater coverage all happen at once?+

That is the point of the MPV. The Basilisk can run camera-arm surface coverage, a drone in the air, and an RC submersible below simultaneously, with every feed graded live in the same Dark Room.
