We review the shot list, tides, weather windows, launch points and permits. You get a water-day plan your AD can schedule against.

Shoot day
Crew call at the dock. The Basilisk launches rigged; configurations change on the water, not back at the marina.

Wrap & handoff
Media offloaded and verified in the Dark Room before anyone leaves the dock. Invoice matches the quote.

- Shoot length. Half days exist. Multi-day blocks price down.

Crew
Who is on board.
A captain-led team scaled to the configuration. Every seat below is a working position, not a ride-along.
Licensed captain
Runs the vessel and the water safety plan. Works directly with your 1st AD on positioning, speed and distance to subject.
Camera arm operator
Operates the Ultraarm and Motocrane remote head. Rehearses moves with your DP before the subject boat rolls.
DIT / VTR technician
Inside the climate-controlled Dark Room: live grading with Cyanview, playback via LH Video rack, media management on the water.
Configuration specialists
Drone pilots for the Marine Drone Control unit, dive supervisors and underwater operators for Underwater Film Command — added per the shoot brief.

Production questions
What does a production need to send to get a quote?+
Dates (or a window), the location or body of water, the scene description, and which configurations you expect to use. A shot list helps but is not required — the production call fills the gaps.
How far in advance should we book?+
Miami dates inside 30 days book fastest. For multi-day blocks, night work, or mobilization outside South Florida, plan on 3–4 weeks so permitting and logistics are locked before your prep week.
Who provides the camera package?+
You do — or we coordinate with a Miami rental house. The Basilisk is a vessel and rig platform: the Ultraarm and Motocrane head accept standard cinema packages.
What happens if weather kills the day?+
The Flat Water Guarantee: if conditions we flag as unshootable cancel the day, you reschedule free. The call is made with you, not for you.
